Going 4WD is all about Grass Roots Recreational 4x4. We promote Club activities including trips, bush clean up days, driver training etc. We will have sections on Tech Talk, How To's, Interviews, Product Reviews, Rigs Reviews & Competitions from time to time. Going 4WD isn't just about the Clubs but also Non Club Members who just get out with their mates and like to enjoy the bush. Our range of Hooly Dooly What A Woopty Doo & Going 4wd DVD's are great for interstaters, beginners and anyone who doesn't want to do hardcore as these trips range from easy to hard. We show you the condition of the tracks and name them so you can build your trip from our DVD or follow our route from the map or even make your own trip using ours as a basis. Season 2 will be back on air soon Season 1 March 2 - May 25 2008 Episode 1 The Newbies We take out 2 Pajero's with Beginners (Dave & Steffe) at the wheel to see what they get up to. We also take a look at CV joints from the popular vehicles. Episode 2 Trig Track Jump into the Prado as Doug takes us from the Thompson Dam down Trig Track and up through 12 switchbacks where we meet a group of guys who tag along. Episode 3 Wombat Forest What are the tracks like through Lerderderg State Park? We're in the southern end of Wombat today, the tracks are wet and slippery with lots of small, medium & large bog holes. Episode 4 Toolangi Ever seen a Rodeo come down Rocky? This area has something for everyone from rocky tracks through to large bog holes. Its a great place for non hardcore or hardcore 4wding, Episode 5 Bunyip Ian is sick of being in the passengers seat. We check out the forest around Bunyip and see how a stock Mazda Bravo with a few years under its belt and a stuffed suspension fares on Sunset Track. Episode 6 A Hardcore Day A Jeep with 75% worn muddies attempts a wet slippery track. A modified GQ tray tackles a track called the steps. Episode 7 Cathederal Range This trip is an easy family orientated day out that any 4x4 and AWD vehicle can do. Episode 8 Cobaw Forest This trip is an easy - medium day out that any 4x4 with a proper low range can do. There's something for everyone here and its so close to Melbourne. Episode 9 Mt.Strickland WE have a crack at Strickland Spur Track in the wet. Its not long since the dozer has been through and the surface is as slippery as an ice skating rink. We explore other tracks around the area. Episode 10 Cheviot Tunnel Today we are doing another easy Family Trip through Murrindindi Forest We stop for lunch at the Cascades then head for Cheviot Tunnel. Episode 11 Big River We are going to explore the tracks on the Alexandra side Of Big River. A couple of dead end tracks can offer some great 4 wheeling. Episode 12 (Season Final) High Country We take in the views & granduer The High Country can dish up. From staircase on the Deddick Trail to an original school house & a relic from the minimg era. The High Country is the best place. |
